THE FINEST CASHMERE
Born where the cold is part of the landscape.
The finest cashmere comes from Mongolia, where the climate is marked by extremely harsh winters and wide temperature swings between day and night.
To protect itself from these conditions, the Capra Hircus develops an extraordinarily fine, lightweight and insulating undercoat beneath its outer coat.
It is precisely the harsh climate that encourages the growth of exceptionally fine, long, uniform and white fibers
These qualities make Mongolian cashmere the softest, the lightest and the most precious.
This is where our story begins, too
From fiber to yarn
In the spinning mills, cashmere takes shape and character.
The different interpretations of Bottegiani cashmere are born from the yarn.

LIGHT CASHMERE
Soft, lightweight, airy
Carded 2/28 cashmere is typically used to create fuller, more structured knitwear. In our Nuvola, a special knitting technique creates a lighter construction, preserving volume and substance while making the garment exceptionally soft, airy and lightweight.
Fine, lightweight, and bright
A blend that brings together cashmere, ultralight wool, and silk.
Cashmere provides softness and temperature regulation, wool adds structure and elasticity, while silk lends fluidity and a subtle sheen. The result is a lightweight, refined knit that is especially pleasant to wear.
WINTER CASHMERE
Fine, compact, essential
2/28 cashmere is the great classic of pure cashmere knitwear: fine, regular, and versatile. It can be knitted with one or more strands, creating garments with different weights and textures, from the lightest to the heaviest, while always maintaining a compact, defined hand.
Rich, soft, enveloping
A full, bulky yarn, designed for warm, cozy sweaters. Its structure gives the garment body while keeping it extremely soft to the touch, with a rich and naturally soft appearance.
Flamed, melange, full-bodied
A blend made of 55% Superfine Lambswool and 45% Cashmere.
A rich, distinctive yarn in which the softness of cashmere meets the structure of superfine lambswool. Its special construction gives the knit a fuller, subtly flecked and naturally mélange appearance, with a warm, soft hand and plenty of character.
